Ham and melon: national dish in Italy
When in Italy my youngest son always takes ham and melon for lunch and I have to admit that the ham in Italy is really tasty, especially the Parma ham. They call it prosciutto di Parma.
The fact that the weather is excellent makes that melons in Italy are ripe, so the taste is like nowhere else. Or maybe like in the south of France.
So, when travelling in Italy don't forget to take a slice of both!
